Overview
The Honor Guard Unit serves as a representative and ambassador of the Department at official events. Honor Guard Unit members are trained in procedures adapted from military protocol in order to ensure the highest levels of honor and respect are adhered to at ceremonial events. Members of the Honor Guard Unit attend funerals for fallen law enforcement officers, present the United States colors at official events and educate other department members on law enforcement traditions.
