Agriculture & Rural Affairs Committee

Overview

The Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee acts as an advisory committee to the Plan Commission. The Committee is tasked with the following:

Developing and recommending policies that promote and enhance sustainable and economically viable agriculture activities in the City;
Identifying and recommending areas in the City to be utilized for agriculture;
Taking action on any items referred to the Committee by the Plan Commission or the Common Council, including making recommendations on requests to rezone lands zoned Exclusive Agriculture (A-X) or Transitional Agriculture (A-T) outside of the City's urban service area
