The forecast indicates rain and warmer temperatures in the coming days. Many of our storm inlets are filled with snow from the recent storms. The City's DPW is asking residents to help clean out the inlets to help prevent flooding and water pooling that could lead to icy streets.
Residents on the 'Water Drip' list are reminded to continue to let their faucets drip even as the temperatures rise. The frost will continue to go deeper into the ground even when the temperatures rise. The Utility Department will notify residents when it is safe to discontinue this.
Our crews are also actively clearing snow from hydrants. The public is asked to help clear the hydrants near their home or business as they are able.
