Incident: Fleeing Auto strikes Squad Car

On Monday, October 7, 2019, at approximately 4:31 p.m., an officer from Fitchburg Police Department located what is believed to be a stolen white Audi SUV in a parking lot on the 4500 Block of Thurston Lane. The officer stopped his squad car and was preparing to contact the vehicle and its occupants when it drove intentionally into the side of his squad car striking it in order to escape. The suspect vehicle drove out of the area at a high rate of speed and other officers briefly engaged in a pursuit of the vehicle. Fortunately, the officer was not injured in the collision.
The suspects are described as black males in their early 20's and the vehicle should have damage to the front passenger side.
