The Fitchburg Police Department is attempting to identify the male pictured below in regards to the ongoing investigation into ATM skimming at the BMO Harris Bank on Fish Hatchery Road. The Fitchburg Police Department was contacted by a BMO Harris financial crimes investigator who reported that they found a skimming device (card reader & camera) on one of their ATM’s. The devices were set up in the morning of 5/30/15 (Memorial Day Weekend) and later that night, were retrieved. The suspect placed a skimming device & camera at a BMO Harris ATM located at 2900 Fish Hatchery Rd., in the City of Fitchburg.
Customers who used the ATM at mentioned location are urged to monitor their accounts for any unauthorized transactions or withdrawals and should contact their financial institutions as well as file a police report with their local police department if suspicious activity is discovered. This type of activity may be related to other skimming devices placed in the area. Several agencies are working together to attempt to identify the suspect.
