What should I do if I am involved in a traffic accident?
If the accident results in injury or death, if damage to state or other government-owned property exceeds $200, or if total damage to the property of one person or a state or government owned vehicle exceeds $1,000, you must report the incident immediately to the police. Otherwise, you must exchange names, addresses, and license numbers with the driver and/or occupants of the vehicle struck.
