Park Shelters

The City of Fitchburg has 7 park shelters that can be reserved for a fee (see fee schedule here Park Shelters Park Shelters Park Shelters Park Shelters) between May 1st - October 31st.  The closures of park shelters at the end of the season is weather dependent and might close earlier than the end of October.  

Reservations for each year can be made starting the first open business day in January either online or in person at the Recreation Office (5510 Lacy Road).  If you would like to rent a shelter in person, please fill out a Shelter Rental Application form and bring it to the Recreation Office.

The Splash Pad at McKee Farms Park also has one Shade Structure (out of 3) that can be reserved from June 1st - August 31st.  Great for birthday parties or family gatherings. If there is no rental, then all shade structures are first come, first served.

Please note: when making an online reservation request, fees will not be charged when submitting your request. Staff will review requests, and send an email notification when fees have been added to your reservation.  Shelter Reservation Fees.
