Zoning

As part of the preparation to attach the Town of Madison parcels to the City of Fitchburg, the City has initiated a process to assign zoning to those parcels.  The new zoning districts will be as consistent as possible to the current Town of Madison zoning. 

The proposed Fitchburg zoning can be found at this online map PROPOSED ZONING MAP.

Zoning map amendments like the ones that will assign Fitchburg zoning to the Town parcels requires notice to all property owners of lands to be zoned and the owners of properties located within 300 feet of the land to be rezoned.   

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE  that the Plan Commission of the City of Fitchburg will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. in the Fitchburg City Hall, 5520 Lacy Road, Fitchburg, WI, for the zoning of Town of Madison parcels to be attached to the City of Fitchburg.  The Plan Commission will hold a second public hearing on Tuesday, October 18th, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. in the Fitchburg City Hall, 5520 Lacy Road, Fitchburg, WI.  For information on how to attend view Zoom for public comment, please contact:  deanna.schmidt@fitchburgwi.gov

To provide a written public comment, please fill out a Registration Form by 4:00 p.m. on the day of the meeting.  All comments will be read out loud at the meeting.
