Fitchburg Historical Society

The office of the Fitchburg Historical Society is housed within the Fitchburg Room, on the second floor of the Fitchburg Public Library.  The Society maintains an archival collection of items specific to the history of Fitchburg including.  Some of the materials owned include:

  • Photographs
  • Articles
  • Obituaries
  • Plat books
Their knowledgeable volunteer staff can assist you with questions related to the history of Fitchburg, its early settlers, and historic sites.  Be sure to visit the Fitchburg Room to see some of their artifacts on display, as well as the mural depicting the original Fitchburg settlement.
