Quarry Hill Park Improvements

The city is undergoing a pilot project to restore the old fence lines around the park with native plants. The removal of fencing, debris, invasive understory plants, and poor quality trees along the east and south fence lines has been completed. No-mow grass has been planted in these areas.

In fall 2013, the Forestry Division partnered with the neighborhood and The Church at Christ Memorial volunteers to plant 23 trees along the eastern border of the park.  Phase two of the project will happen in spring 2014 with the planting of understory shrubs.
