1. How do I obtain a copy of an accident report?: Accident reports can be obtained from the Fitchburg Police Department Records Bureau. You can stop by our department, or call. Visit the Records Bureau page.

2. What should I do if I am involved in a traffic accident?: If the accident results in injury or death, if damage to state or other government-owned property exceeds $200, or if total damage to the property of one person or a state or government owned vehicle exceeds $1,000, you must report the incident immediately to the police. Otherwise, you must exchange names, addresses, and license numbers with the driver and/or occupants of the vehicle struck.

3. How do I get a warning ticket signed off?: Contact any Fitchburg Police Officer, or come to the Fitchburg Police Department. Otherwise, any sworn law enforcement officer in the State of Wisconsin may sign the warning.
