The Fitchburg Chip Seal program will begin on Tuesday, August 14th and last for about one week on the following streets: Crescent, Red Arrow Trail, Pawnee Pass, Renaissance Dr., Thurston Lane, Apache Dr., Edenberry, Yarmouth Greenway Dr., Chapel Valley Rd., Williamsburg Way, Richardson, Claredon Dr., Wilshire Dr., Forest Down, Clermont Ct., North Hill Ct., Timber View Ct., Schumann Dr., Dover Circle, Dunton Circle, Ascot Ct., Seminole Ridge Cir., Charleston Dr., Raritan Rd., English Ct., Woods Edge Rd., Walnut Wood, Maple Wood, Robin Ct., Raritan, Marledge, Florann, Cheryl, and Lyman.
Chip seal extends the life of the street by providing a new wearing surface and controlling further deterioration. The application may cause some minor traffic delays, but no road closures. The loose chip will be swept within 3 days of the application. Please use extra caution when driving, riding bicycles or walking on the new surface until it has had time to cure and has been swept.
