A Public Information Meeting is scheduled for Mon., Nov. 19th, at 7 pm to discuss the McKee Rd Reconstruction project, which extends 3,200 ft., from Commerce Park Dr. to Seminole Hwy. The meeting will be in the Council Chambers @ City Hall, 5520 Lacy Rd.
This meeting will consist of a presentation to review the goals of the project and will include a presentation design to consider based on feedback from the first public informational meeting. The public will have the opportunity to ask questions and provide input on the updated design elements.
This project will maintain a 4-lane divided road on McKee Road, a proposed Badger State Trail Bridge over McKee Road, addition of turn lanes at intersections, and will provide alternative bicycle and pedestrian accommodations along the length of the reconstruction project based on feedback and design standards.
The Badger State Trail crosses the project and is considered a public trail area. The project will include a grade-separated crossing for the Badger State Trail, improving safety and convenience for trail users and drivers on McKee Road. Negative impacts are not anticipated to the trail but temporary easements may be needed to accommodate grading and a temporary detour of the trail may be needed during construction. The project team is seeking your input on any concerns individuals may have with how the project is impacting these resources.
Persons with a concern for or knowledge about historic buildings and structures and archaeological sites are encouraged to attend this meeting or provide comments to the City about these sites.
