Fitchburg Utilities will be flushing water mains from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday starting on Monday, September 30, 2019 and ending on Friday, October 11, 2019.
Due to the flushing, the water may be temporarily discolored. Officials say discoloration can be cleared by opening the cold water tap to full flow for a few minutes. Officials also advise residents to do their laundry in the evening and when the water is clear to avoid damage to clothes.
