Details:
Following last week’s robbery of Associated Bank at 3002 Fish Hatchery Road, and a similar robbery in the City of Madison, investigators from the Fitchburg and Madison Police Departments worked together to identify a suspect. The suspect was identified as Rondino Fleming.
On Friday, December 13, 2019, the City of Madison Police Department took Fleming into custody on an unrelated charge.
Fitchburg Police Department investigators have since developed probable cause to refer a charge of robbery of a financial institution for Fleming for the Associated Bank robbery.
Fleming remains lodged in the Dane County Jail on charges from an unrelated case.
Investigators from the UW-Madison Police Department assisted with the case.
This investigation remains open and there is no additional information available for public release.

On Monday, December 9, 2019, at 3:37 p.m., officers from the Fitchburg Police Department responded to the Associated Bank at 3002 Fish Hatchery Road for a robbery that had just occurred. Officers discovered that a single suspect had entered the bank and made a demand for money from one of the tellers using an implied threat. After receiving money from the teller he immediately fled from the bank on foot.
None of the bank employees were injured during this incident and the investigation is ongoing.

Suspect Information:
The suspect is described as a light skinned black male, late 20’s to early 30’s, approximately 5’5” tall with a medium build, dark colored beard, and was wearing a black hooded jacket, black pants or jeans, and black shoes. He also may have had a bandage on his left hand.
