As the COVID-19 Virus threatens the health and wellness of our nation and our community, we are experiencing a shortage in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). To further complicate this issue, our typical supply chain does not have the needed equipment available for us to order and purchase.
This has resulted in an unprecedented approach to attain needed equipment. We are reaching out to our community and to our corporate stakeholders to see if you have any of the following items that are in critical supply:
- Surgical masks
- N95 respirator masks
- Face shields
- Paper gowns, and/or cloth gowns
Fitchburg Fire and Fitch-Rona EMS would provide this equipment to our emergency medical healthcare providers and first responders as they address the spread of this virus and the impact it has on our community.
If you are able to help, please contact Meredith at the Fitchburg Fire Department (608-270-7042 or fire@fitchburgwi.gov) with the following information:
The items you have available, the quantity, and if any cost is associated
The contact information for the appropriate person on your team
If donated items need to be replaced in the future (when supplies are available).
