On March 18, 2021, at approximately 12:40 a.m., Fitchburg police officers responded to the Capitol Petro gas station located at 2770 S. Syene Rd. for an intrusion alarm. Officers arrived on scene to find the gas station had been burglarized. Officers learned that a single suspect entered the gas station and stole tobacco products. The suspect has not yet been identified, however, the investigation is ongoing. Fitchburg Police was assisted by the Town of Madison Police Department.
Suspect Description: A male wearing a stocking cap, multi-colored jacket, and brown pants.
