On Saturday March 14th, Fitchburg Police Officers will be pouring free coffee at McDonald's located at 2845 Fish Hatchery Road as part of their Coffee with a Cop program. This is the third year the Fitchburg Police Department has participated in the Coffee with a Cop program.
Coffee with a Cop aims to bring police officers and citizens together in a neutral setting in order to create conversation. Officers will be available to answer questions, hear about citizen's concerns and most importantly get to know those in the community. The event also allows citizens to see the more human side of those who protect and serve the community on a daily basis.
