Until further notice, no open burning permits will be issued by the Fitchburg Fire Department. Once the DNR has removed the outdoor burning restrictions, we will allow open burning again.
The Wisconsin DNR has deemed Dane County in a "High" Fire Danger for outdoor fires. Even though we are not in a DNR regulated fire permit area we do follow the DNR’s fire danger levels and restrictions.
