The City of Fitchburg Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Department has scheduled two upcoming public meetings, as follows:
1. McGaw Park Natural Resources Management Plan – The Fitchburg Parks & Forestry Department has begun the public planning process to develop a woodlot management plan for McGaw Park. The guidelines for this project will be laid out through the creation of the McGaw Park Natural Resources Management Plan.
The first open house and public meeting on the McGaw Park Natural Resources Management Plan is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 18, Fitchburg Room, Fitchburg Community Center, 5510 Lacy Road, Fitchburg. The main presentation will begin at 7:00pm, followed a formal public dialog session. Please see the attached public notice for this event.
2. Community Gardens – The City of Fitchburg is exploring the possibility of locating community gardens on City-owned parklands. An open house and public meeting on the potential for community gardens on City-owned parkland has been scheduled for 6:30 p.m., Thursday, November 19, Fitchburg Room, Fitchburg Community Center, 5510 Lacy Road, Fitchburg.
