The preliminary investigation into the armed robbery incident that occurred on November 13th on King James Court has revealed that the three suspects, who were taken into custody on November 16th, were acquainted with the victim.
The suspects contacted the victim and arranged to meet him on King James Court to purchase clothing from him. During the course of the transaction, the victim was struck on the head with a hammer multiple times. The hammer has since been recovered.
Andre D. Nichols, 20, of Fitchburg, was arrested on charges of party to a crime - armed robbery and party to a crime - first-degree recklessly endangering safety. Two sixteen year-olds were taken to the Dane County Juvenile Reception Center on similar charges.
The investigation is ongoing.
