The Fitchburg Police Department investigated two separate stabbing incidents over the weekend.
On Saturday, November 28th, around 4:45 p.m., officers responded to the 800 block of Whispering Pines Way to assist EMS for a report of a male who had been stabbed. The victim had reportedly been stabbed multiple times in the early morning hours of the 28th, inside an apartment on Whispering Pines Way. The male victim was transported to UW Hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation revealed the victim was stabbed and cut multiple times during a disturbance with another male, who resided with the victim. Aaron Wiater, 22, of Fitchburg, was arrested and taken to the Dane County Jail on a charge of first-degree reckless injury.
On Sunday, November 29th, around 7:45 a.m., officers responded to an apartment in the 2900 block of Fish Hatchery Road for a male who had been stabbed by a female he resides with. The victim reported the incident two hours after it allegedly occurred. He was transported to a local hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. No arrests have been made.
Neither incident was a random act. The investigation into both incidents is ongoing.
