On Wednesday, August 3rd, 2016, at approximately 11:00PM, officers from the Fitchburg Police Department responded to the 2800 block of Index Road for an armed robbery.
The investigation revealed an individual was approached by three males on the sidewalk. One of the males asked the victim for a cigarette and then threw the victim down to the ground, held a handgun to the victim’s head, and demanded money. The suspects fled west towards Post Road with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspects are described as:
• Suspect #1: A black male, approximately 20-30 years old, 6’2”-6’3” tall, 240 lbs., wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a red or orange “N” letter on the left breast, and jeans. This suspect was armed with a black handgun.
• Suspect #2: A black male, approximately 20-30 years old, 6’ tall, 190 lbs., wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, and jeans.
• Suspect #3: A light skinned male, approximately 20-30 years old, 5’9” tall, wearing a light colored zip up sweatshirt and jeans.
The City of Madison Police Department’s K9 Unit and the Town of Madison Police Department assisted with the investigation.
The investigation is ongoing. No additional information is available for release at this time.
