On February 26th, 2017, at approximately 7:15 a.m., officers from the Fitchburg Police Department were dispatched to the intersection of Longford Terrace and Portarligton Lane for an attempted armed robbery and a battery.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim, who had been punched multiple times. The investigation revealed that two male suspects drove up next to the victim, who was jogging on the roadway, exited their vehicle, and demanded money and property from the victim. One of the suspects displayed a handgun, pointed it at the victim during the incident and punched the victim multiple times. The suspects then got back into their vehicle and fled westbound on Longford Terrace.
The suspects are described as:
Suspect #1 (Passenger of Vehicle): Black male, slender build, approximately 25 years old, 6' tall, wearing a brown "Carhartt"-type coat. This male displayed the handgun.
Suspect #2 (Driver of Vehicle): Black male, heavy-set, wearing a sweatshirt
The suspect's vehicle is described as a brown Ford Taurus or Chevy Malibu-type sedan.
