On Tuesday, August 8th, 2017, at approximately 5:00 a.m., officers from the Fitchburg Police Department were dispatched to the 2300 block of High Ridge Trail for an attempted armed robbery.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with two victims, who were uninjured. The investigation revealed that two male suspects approached the victims on foot while the victims were seated in a vehicle in a nearby parking lot. The suspects demanded money as one of the suspects displayed a knife and the other suspect implied they had a gun. The suspects then fled the area on foot.
The suspects are described as:
Suspect #1 (Armed Suspect - Knife): Black male in his early 20s, approximately 5’2” tall, with a skinny build, dark complexion, wearing a black or dark blue winter jacket, black jeans, white tennis shoes, and a black knit stocking cap.
Suspect #2 (Armed Suspect – Implied Gun): Black male in his early 20s, approximately 5’2” tall, with a skinny build, dark complexion, wearing a dark colored top and black jeans.
